Arsenal, Chelsea ‘agree £10.9m Cech deal’

Petr Cech could become an Arsenal player today after the Gunners agreed a fee with Chelsea for the player.
Sources close to the deal say the Premier League rivals had agreed a £10.9 million (€15.39m) fee for the player.

Cech has apparently already agreed personal terms with Arsene Wenger’s side, and Sky Sports said last night that Arsenal reached an agreement with their London rivals to sign the veteran shot-stopper.
Cech made 485 appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge after joining from Rennes for £7m in 2004, going on to lift four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the Europa League and Champions League.
Cech’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium would take Arsenal another step closer to the Barclays Premier League title, according to Bob Wilson.
Wilson told BBC Radio Five Live: “I think it is an amazing signing. It’s another step towards the title.
“Arsenal are very close to having a squad that almost matches Chelsea, almost matches Manchester City.
“I think everybody knows Arsenal are minimum two, maybe three, good signings to really challenge Chelsea,” he added.
