Nigeria-bound terror chief coming on invitation


According to a report by Daily Trust, wanted terrorist, Ahmed Al-Assir, who was arrested in Lebanon on his way to Nigeria, was coming on the invitation of a foreign company operating in the country.  Sources in Nigeria’s security circles, who spoke to Daily Trust on condition of anonymity, said the visa was issued by a Foreign Service official in Beirut based on that invitation.

Syrian man selling pens on street to feed his daughter earns $37k after picture goes viral




This is great news! More than $37k has been raised in just 11 hours to support a Syrian refugee pictured selling pens in Beirut while carrying his sleeping daughter.
In the heartbreaking images, the man offers out a handful of biros, clutching a plastic bag of more pens while his little daughter sleeps wrapped over his shoulder.
The photos of the father and child went viral after they were posted two days ago on Twitter by activist Gissur Simonarson.

Nigerian Ambassador to the US, Adebowale Ibidapo Adefuye has died. He died of an undisclosed ailment at a hospital in the US yesterday August 27th. He was planning to hand over to a new ambassador when he suddenly died yesterday.

Man dies of shock after confronting burglars in his home


A man 'died of shock' after confronting a gang of burglars who had just ransacked his home.
John Donoghue, 62, is thought to have suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed from the trauma of seeing the crooks.

He had just returned to home in Country Limerick, when the thieves came "flying out of the house".
It is understood he was so alarmed by the sight he died on the spot.

Prominent Indian TV Executive arrested for killing daughter

A prominent Indian TV executive, Indrani Mukerjea was arrested on Wednesday August 26 in Mumbai and accused of murdering Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier marriage. Mukerjea, who is the wife of Peter Mukerjea, the former CEO of Star India, is accused of ordering her driver to kill Bora and of disposing of the body three years ago. Mukerjea and the driver were charged with kidnapping, murder and destroying the evidence.
According to Indian media, before to her death in 2012, Bora was dating Rahul, one of Peter Mukerjea's sons from his previous marriage, but that Peter Mukerjea did not know that Bora was his wife's child.

An Arik air catering loader, Ikechukwu Chibuzor Oliver (pictured above) has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement, NDLEA, for being an accomplice to Chika Egwu, another staff of the airline who was on Monday Aug. 24 arrested at London's Heathrow airport with 20kg of cocaine worth N100 million.
